Tuesday, April 5 th & Wednesday, April 6 th – The leading Robert Burns orator, David Sibbald returns to the area to perform two free concerts with the remarkable local multi-instrumentalist David Brewer & superb Scots singer Peter Daldry on the Tuesday at David's Celtic Music Night at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 9850 Monroe Ave. in Aptos at 7pm, contact David for info at pipeyspice@hotmail.com or (831) 239-0602 & on the Wednesday at the Capitola Book Café, 1475 41st Ave. in Capitola at 7:30pm, call (831) 462-4415 for info. Sibbald is Past President of the Glasgow Haggis Club, one of the oldest Burns Clubs in the world and has spoken at over 300 Burns Suppers throughout the world, including Shakespeare's Globe Theatre & aboard the Royal Yacht, Britannia, as well as having given the Immortal Memory-keynote address in George Square , Glasgow at the 250th Scottish Homecoming Celebrations. Sibbald will perform such famous Burns' poems as ‘To a Mouse' and ‘Tam O' Shanter,' among others. These evenings of the poetry & songs of Scotland 's national poet will be a hot item guaranteed to give third-degree Burns.
